Participation in the National Consultation Workshop on Draft of the Social Impact Monitoring and Vulnerability Assessment (SIMVA) 2014

On the 9th April 2015, Mr. Yan Samrith, Director Department Legislation and Extension of TSA participentesd the National Consultation Workshop on Draft of the Social Impact Monitoring and Vulnerability Assessment (SIMVA) 2014 is focus on Shocks and Treands. The workshop organized by CNMC at PARADISE Hotel , Siem Reap Province chaired by Excellency Te Navuth, Secretary General CNMC on behalf of Excellency Minister of MOWRAM and Chairman of CNMC . There are 27 participants from relevant participants from CNMC (National EP Coordinator), line agencies as NIS, TSA, MOWRAM, MEM, MoE, MoPWT, RUPP, RUA and Secretariat and MRCS.  

The new guideline for SIMVA 2014 has a member of adjustment to the methodology such as change in the sampling frame, village data collection and a qualitative participatory study. The total sample of size the household survey was 5,539 respondents and 28 villages ‘focus group discussion for qualitative data collection. Both quantitative and qualitative data analysis and draft national report SIMVA 2014 has been done by the National Expert team. However, the finding needs to verify and consult with line agencies and relevant stockholders.
The main purposes of the workshop are:
1. To discuss the first draft of SIMVA 2014 national report
2. To obtain suggestion of the participants for improvements and finalizing the SIMVA 2014 national report
