Mr. Lim Puy, Deputy Director of Tonlesap Authority, Research Study on Fish Resources and Fish Habitats

​Mr. Lim Puy and the Technical Working Group of the Department of Natural Resources made a research study on fish resources and fish habitats in the areas of Peam Ta uo, Prek Toal, Pek Kantel, Chong Kneas, Kampong Khleang and Meart Khlar from 8th to 10th January 2015. This study focused on fishing yields and the abundancy of each fish species based on the fishing tools such as nets, Trey Kam Pleanh Trap, dropping nets, hand net and mechanic trawl in each region. About 31 fish species as well as the fish length and weight were noted in dry season of Tonlesap Lake, whose water depth was about 2m to 3m and water temperatures was about 26 to 28 oC.
