On 02-04 February 2016, Mr. Meas Ouen, consultant of Tonle Sap Authority, attended the study tour on climate change and adaptation planning of the project on climate change and water governance in Cambodia in Mondol Seyma district, Koh Kong Province, which was organized by the Cambodia Development Research Institute (CDRI), with the support from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) of Canada. Attended by officials from the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Environment, Tonle Sap Authority, Institute of Technology of Cambodia, Royal University of Agriculture, Mekong Program on Water, Environment and Resistance (M-Power) and national institutions and sub-national, NGOs and community representatives on water consumption from three identified provinces of Pursat, Kampong Thom, and Kompong Chhnang, in total of 82 members. The main purpose to visits:
• To strengthen the capacity of the district and commune-level government officials and community members to adapt to climate change and sharing of knowledge on this subject.
• The creation of a joint working between government officials and community members to exchange views, share experiences and learn from each other for the implementation of change Adaptation and climate change.
