Study on Dry-Season Crops Farming (Early-Rainy-Season Rice) in Zone 1 and Zone 2 in Siem Reap Province

​From 26 to 28 August 2015, H.E  Meas Oeun, Advisor TSA,  led the officials of Tonle Sap Authority to study about the dry-season crops farming (early-rainy-season rice) to compile as the information for agricultural crops around the Tonle Sap lake in zone 1 and zone 2 of Siem Reap Province. This study aimed to collect quantitative data on farming area, types of seed, methods and farming techniques, pests and diseases, soil consumption and pesticide, water resources, soil texture and took soil samples to laboratories (soil quality). In the process of this study, the team met with communal/village authorities and interviewed with farmers as well as dig the soil to check the soil texture to descript soil profile and took soil samples to laboratories.​
