Activities of Leaders in Evaluating Biodiversity Resources and Sustainable Development of Mekong River Basin

Under the coordination of the Mekong River Committee (MRC) on 24-28 March 2015, H.E Khov Meas, Deputy Secretary-General of Tonle Sap Authority, attended the meeting and evaluated biodiversity resources in Tonle Sap region along Siem Reap Province. The experts from four countries, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and international experts made a study visit by directly monitoring the importance of the water birds sanctuary in Prek Preah Derm Cher of Prek Tal conservation area for biodiversity resources and Kompong Khlang area by monitoring the general situation as well as the daily livelihood of the local people, fishing, farming and bean farming as the basis of additional data collection for the Technical Working Group and to install biological resource assessment of the MRC Council.
