The Study Activities on the Productivity of Dry-Season Rice Around Tonle Sap Lake

From 24th to 26th March 2015, the technical working group of officials of Tonle Sap Authority, led by H.E Meas Oeun, Advisor to Tonle Sap Authority, continued the research study on harvest and marketing network of dry-season rice product in Area 1 and Area 2 in Tonle Sap region and some regions in Seim Reap province.
This study is to find out about the season / time of harvest and to compile data-information on agricultural crops. In practice, the methods used to extract information by the Working Group include monitoring of the harvest, quantity, transportation, sales of farmers' yields, market price,  marketing network and dry-season rice traders via interviewing with village/commune authorities, provincial/district department of agriculture, and farmers who farm dry-season rice as well as rice traders in each target area.
