Participation in the National Consultation Workshop to Prepare Decentralizing Actions Cluster II for 2016-2020 of Mekong River Commission
With the coordination of Cambodian National Mekong Committee (CNMC), H.E Meas Ouen, Advisor to Tonle Sap Authority (TSA) and Mr. Sar Kimsan, Director Department of Administration, Planning and Cooperation of TSA, attended the National Consultation Workshop to 2nd Prepare Decentralizing Actions 2016-2020 of Mekong River Commission Strategic Plan 2016-2020, which was held in Kampong Cham Province on February 02nd, 2015 under the auspices of H.E Te Navuth, Secretary-General of CNMC with the participation from officials and members of the Technical Working Group on the Core Decentralizing Functions under Mekong Framework for Cambodia and other relevant Ministries such as: the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, TSA, Ministry of Industry and Handicrafts, and Ministry of Economy and Finance, in total of 30 participants.
The National Consultation Workshop was held to review and discuss the core management functions of the river basin of the CNMC Management Committee in order to prepare Decentralizing Actions Cluster II for 2016-2020.
As a result, the workshop:
– Review and discussed the core management functions of River Basin of the CNMC Management Committee to prepare Decentralizing Actions Cluster II for 2016-2020; and
– Approved the proposed Decentralizing Actions Cluster II for 2016-2020.
Cambodian side still has some difficulties in operating the budget for the core functions of Decentralizing Actions Cluster II for 2016-2020.[Unofficial Translation]
