H.E Hell Tony, General Secretary, Leads a Meeting to Publicize and Introduce the implementation of the Action Plan 2015 -2017 of the General Secretariat of Tonle Sap Authority
In the morning of 4th February 2015 at the auditorium of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (in Kbal Thnal), H.E Hell Tony, General Secretary of Tonle Sap Authority (TSA), Representative of H.E Lim Kean Hor, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology and Chairman of TSA, led a meeting to publicize and introduce the implementation of the Action Plan of the TSA General Secretariat 2015 -2017 to the officials working under TSA General Secretariat with the participation from Deputy Secretaries General, Advisors TSA, Directors and Deputy Directors Department, Chief-vice Chiefs of Bureau, Assistants to H.E Chairman of TSA, and the officials of TSA, in a total of 60 participants.
As the chair of the meeting, H.E Hell Tony welcomed and informed that the TSA General Secretariat had prepared the Action Plan (2015- 2017), continuing from the Action Plan (2014-2016), in order to further strengthen the implementation of the core missions of TSA in the roles of research, monitoring and evaluation of social, economic and natural resources potential to prepare visions, policies, and strategies for submitting to the Government for approval.
This Action Plan reflects the main activities in implementing and collecting data to contribute in promoting the management, conservation and development of the surrounding areas of Tonle Sap Lake and its related areas with sustainability. The Action Plan is divided into 5 main key sections, 6 goals, 15 action plans and 51 activities, which will be implemented by the General Secretariat and 4 professional departments.
Finally, H.E Hell Tony also stressed that this Action Plan was an important instrument for indicating directions to the officials in the implementation of the annual Action Plan and to understand the working contexts, including challenges and solutions, so that the implementation of the 2015 Action Plan will be successful and effective as well as get supports and cooperating involvement from other ministries, institutions and development partners, and especially become the foundation for the implementation of the Action Plan in next step.
