​Under the coordination of Cambodia National Mekong Committee (CNMC) on 8th December 2014, Mr. Pheam Sea, Deputy Director of the Department of Exploitation Control and Conservation, attended the National Technical Meeting on the Follow-up and Development of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Fisheries Program of Mekong River Commission (MRC), which was held in Siem Reap Province under the auspices of H.E Te Navuth, Secretary General of CNMC, with a total of 41 participants from Tonlesap Authority (4 people), CNMC, MRC, Fisheries Administration, Chamkar Doung University of Agriculture, Provincial Fisheries Department and NGOs. The meeting was to present the progress of the implementation of the projects, funded by MRC, to exchange experiences between relevant researchers and officials of the fisheries program of the MRC and to give recommendations for the implementation of the project of the Fisheries Program of MRC in the future.
The participants were also presented a presentation of Tonlesap Authority on the results of the project "Monitoring Fish catch Around Tonlesap Lake," by Mr. Pheam Sea, Deputy Director of the Department of Exploitation Control and Conservation and Chairman of the Working Group on Project Implementation Based on MRC's Technique, which is the international standard in 4 countries (Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand).
