From December 8th to 10th 2014, Mr. Yan Samrith, Director Department of Legislation and Extension, led a working group to conduct a research study and compile documents relating to the protection of natural resources and biodiversity around Tonlesap area to close up the first phase of the 28th activities on mainstreaming the awareness of the protection of natural resources and biodiversity around Tonlesap area and related areas to the public in Banteay Meanchey Province. The study aims to gather information about the public participation from related stakeholders (natural resources consumers, communities, NGOs, and related institutions) in understanding legislation, regulation, publicity and training on the protection of natural resources and biodiversity around Tonlesap area and related areas in order to compile documents for publicity and mainstreaming the awareness of the protection of natural resources and biodiversity around the Tonlesap area and related areas to the public living in local communities in the future.
