From 29th November to 02nd December 2014, H.E. Ing Kimleang, Deputy Secretary General of Tonle Sap Authority, led technical staffs of Tonle Sap Authority to conduct a detailed study on: the production place of pickled fish (Prahok), production technique of pickled fish, data of pickled fish producer, fish sauce businesses, fish trade and the data of the Vietnamese buying fish from fish lots in Phnom Penh and Kandal Province. This study is to understand pickled fish production place, techniques, sources, producers, and productivity in medium and big family; possibility of fish sauce manufacturer; export markets; and interviews with local authorities.
