Research Study on Evaluating the floating rice(dry-Season rice) in Zoon 1 and Zoon 2 at Kampong Thom Province

H.E Meas Oeun, Advisor to Tonlesap Authority, led technical team to conduct a Research Study on evaluating the floating rice (dry-Season rice) in order to compile information related to agricultural crops around Tonlesap lake in Zoon 1 and Zoon 2 at Kampong Thom Province from 24th to 28th November 2014. This research aimed to study the type of rice seed, farming technique, insects, disease, market, transportation, land usage, pesticide, and challenges in farming, solution, water sources, soil texture and social economy. In this research study, the working team met the village and commune, district and interviewed with farmers about dry-season-rice farming (dry season) as well as to dig the soil in order to check soil texture, a description of soil profile and soil sample experiments.​
