A Research Study on the Paddy Rice Farming and Other Crops Along the Main Rivers in Siem Reap Province

From 17th to 20th November 2014, a working group on agricultural diversity of the Department of Natural Resources conducted a Research Study on the Paddy Rice Farming and Other Crops along the main rivers in Siem Reap Province, which was led by Mr. Vin Bunpov, Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources. The study research included:
-    To gather and compile the existed data and information in rice, peanut and other crops sectors;
-    To gather and compile the data and information on agricultural sector around Tonlesap lake;
-    To research and compile the data and information on involved stakeholders in rice
sector and other vital crops;
-    To monitor the locations and paddy rice farming in dry season as well as local
farmers' farming irrigation practice; and
-    To gather and compile the data and information on regions relating to important rivers in order to prepare a basic map.​
