Research Study on Aquaculture Around the Tonlesap Lake

​Sine 12nd to 14th November 2014, a technical working group of Tonlesap Authority, led by Mr. Sin Viseth, Director Department of Commercial Exploitation and Conservation, continued a research study on aquaculture in Kampong Chhnang Province in order to understand the techniques in raising fish, fish species, fish feed, sources of juvenile fish, fish market, and especially how to raise fish who eats baiting fish as food. Based on the recent study, the team observed that raising the fish who eats fish feed as food is increasing because baiting fish decreases (price rising) and fishing yields from natural sources also decrease. Therefore, in order to meet the demand, fishermen have raised fish.
