Research Study Activities and Colleced Documentation Relating to the Protection of Natural Resources and Biodiversity around Tonlesap Lake
From October 30th to 1st November 2014, a technical working group of Tonlesap Authority, led by Mr. Yan Samrith, Director of Legislation and Extension, made a research study and collected documentation relating to the protection of natural resources and biodiversity around Tonlesap lake , which was the 1st step of the 28th Activities on mainstreaming public awareness about the protection of natural resources and biodiversity around Tonlesap Lake and conducted in the Phat Sanday Commune, Kampong Svay District and Peam Bang Commune, Stoung District, Kompong Thom Province. The research study aims to collected information about public participation from stakeholders (natural resources consumers, communities, NGOs and other related institutions) in legal awareness, legal regulation, advertisement and trainings on the protection of natural resources and biodiversity around Tonlesap Lake and related areas in order to prepare documents for the media and to mainstream public awareness about the protection of natural resources and biodiversity around Tonlesap Lake and related areas to local communities in the future.
