The Implementation of Convergent Water Resources Management Project for Tonlesap Lake and Songkhla Lake between Cambodia and Thailand

From 20 to 24 October 2014, Mr. Sin Viseth, Director of the Department of Commercial Exploitation and Conservation and Vice director of implement the project, led the project implementation team on managing convergent water resources for Tonlesap Lake (Cambodia) and Songkhla Lake (Thailand) in order to conduct interviews with stakeholders and explain the role of the project in provinces around Tonlesap region (Kampong Thom, Siem Reap, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey and Pursat) on key sectors, such as water resources, agriculture, environment, fisheries, local authorities, tourism, rural development , mines and energy, public works and transportation, industry and handy crafts. The purpose of this activity is to (1) promote the project's vision for stakeholders (2) analysis of the participants involved in the management and development of Tonlesap River and (3) prepare vital maps for key stakeholders. ​
