Meeting and Training Program on arrangement and management of Steung Sen Basin Managment Committee in Kompong Thom province and Preah Vihear Province.
On the 6th and 7th of October, 2014, Tonle Sap Authorities team and representative of international French of water agency directed by excellency Lim Puy, vice chairmen of Tonle Sap Authorities accompanied by his excellency Kov Mean, Deputy Secretary General and Technical staff have participant in the meeting with Steung Sen Basin Management Committee in kampong Thom and Preah Vihear province by focusing strongly on action planning, raise up more good planning and duties roles of Steung Sen Basin management committee that the aim of making sure that the management is sustainability and high efficiency. Excellency Chairman also confirmed about previous result which we have practiced and have gotten big support both budget and technical from many party assistance such as international French of water agency (OIE), French agency for development (AFD), and Asia Development Bank (ADB). Mrs. Katia SCHMITZBERGER, representative of French water agency (RHIN-MEUSE Water Agency) have given a presentation about roles duties and experiences of French water management unit by confirming about basin technical level, basin political level about arrangement of political strategies and water resource management. At the end of that meeting, all members of Steung Sen Basin Management Committee have understood clearly about roles and duties which they have to do in the future and both province meeting have agreed on the principles of the arrangement of Steung Sen Basin Management Committee superintendent by 30 people and in that we have Kampong Thom province committee with 16 people and 14 people form Preah Vihear province.
