Research Study on the Quantity and Types of Fingerling

​From 18th to 19 August 2014, technical team of the Department of Commercial Exploitation and Conservation of Tonlesap Authority led by Mr. Phea Sea, Deputy Director department, made a research study on the quantity and types of fingerling, migrating from Mekong River to Tonle Sap through the areas with lower mekong which cover Krang, Chealea, Chba Ompov, Takoy, Kongtaneng, Rokar Ar, Kchao, Raypay, Sutip, Preychar, Khnol Tambong and Pdao Chom communes of Batheay and Kang Meas districts. This research study is to monitor the data and types of fishing equipment and fishing data, to evaluate the quantity and types of fingerling, caught by fishermen in the prohibited season and also to analyze and compare economical loss of fishing the fingerling in the prohibited season and of fishing fish in the legal season ahead.
