Research Activities on the Management of waste from fishing tool disposals

​On Monday 2nd – 6th April, 2018, technical officials of the General Secretariat of the Tonlesap Authority led by H.E Khov Meas, Deputy General Secretary, has conducted a field research to understand the
management of wastes from the disposals of all types of fishing tools in Prek Toal Village, Chivang Commune, Ek Phnom District, Battambang Province. The team has met and discussed with the commune chief
and members of commune council, and conducted interviewed with fishermen, and sellers of fishing tools along the floating village to explore challenges and solutions relating to environmental pollution,
especially the disposal of hard and liquid wastes in Tonlesap and concerned areas. ​
