General Secretary H.E Hell Tony leads technical staff to participate in the 3rd International Conference and the Mekong Committee Summit in Siem Reap Province
Sokha Siem Reap Hotel, Siemreap: From 2nd to 4th April, 2018, General Secretary of the Tonle Sap Authority H.E Hell Tony has led technical staff members of the Secretariat of the Tonle Sap Authority to join the 3rd International Conference of the Mekong Committee on ‘Promoting joint-effort and partnership to achieve sustainable development goals of the Mekong river”. The conference was chaired by Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, and chairman of national committee of Cambodia Mekong River Commission and Tonle Sap Authority. Participating in this international conference were representatives from countries situated along the Mekong river, Mekong River Secretariat, development partners, financial institutions, reginal and international NGOs, other river committees, research institution, non-governmental NGOs, private sector, and some other relevant stake holders. The international conference has two main purposes, (1) serving as a platform for exchanging experiences and concept on the water management and development in the regional and global framework; (2) providing key message for the participants in the summit on the proper application and new ideas for the sustainable management and development of the Mekong river.
