The Research Study on Data Collection, Dry-Rice Farming, Harvest, and Market in Kampong Chhhnang Province
On 16 to 19 March 2016, H.E. Meas Ouen, advisor of Tonle Sap Authority, led working group to collect data on the area of dry-season farming, harvest, and marketing for compiling as information on agricultural crops around Tonle Sap Lake in zone 1 and zone 2 in Kampongleng district, Boribo district and Kampong Trolach district of Kampong Chhnang Province. The purpose of this study is to collect data on dry-season farming area, seeds, farming techniques, insects, diseases, fertilizer, pesticide, water source, soil texture analysis, soil samples for testing, harvest and the current market. In this study process, the team met with village/commune authorities, district office of agriculture, and interviews with farmers as well as dig the soil for soil texture, a description of soil profile, and take soil samples tested.
