The Participation in the International Expert Group Meeting on the Integrated Lake Basin Management (ILBM-Heartware)

​From 14 and 17 February 2016, the Technical Working Group of the Tonle Sap Authority led by H.E Khov Meas, Deputy Secretary General of Tonle Sap Authority, hosted an international expert group meeting on the Integrated Lake Basin Management (ILMB-Heartware) in Siem Reap province under the cooperation between Tonle Sap Authority and the International Lake Environment Committee. The meeting was attended by technical teams of relevant institutions such as the Ministry of Environment, the Cambodian National Mekong Committee, CDRI, IUCN and the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, as well as the international experts from Japan, Nepal, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, in a total of 18 members.
The purpose of the meeting was to promote cooperation to serve common interests such as:
1. To present the concept of the Integrated Lake Basin Management Team (ILBM-Heartware concept)
2. To present the collaborative experiences of the Integrated Lake Basin
3. To learn about the management, development and challenges in Tonle Sap Lake
4. To prepare the plan and a network of collaboration between the team of Tonle Sap lake and the Integrated Lake Basin Management
5. To have the study tour at Angkor Wat and Tonle Sap Lake region.​
