Study Activities to Update Processed Aquatic Products in Kampong Thom Province
On 14 to 17 June 2016, Mr. Phem Sea, Deputy Director of the Department of Exploitation Control and Conservation, and the team of technical officials investigated the production process of aquatic products in the fishing areas around Tonle Sap Lake along the river bank of Stung River, Stung Sen River, and Stung Chinet River in Kampong Thom Province. This study was to (1) update the categories of the processed aquatic products, (2) compile each processing method , (3) study seasonal demand for processed aquatic products and their exports abroad, and (4) study challenges of the producers when the when the natural fishing yields decreases.
