Inception Workshop for Implementation of “Support to National Flood Forecasting Center and to Improve Hydraulic Design Standards” of Greater Mekong Sub-Region Flood and Drought Risk Management and Mitigation Project

On Wednesday, 06 April 2016, Mr. Sin Viseth, Director of Exploitation control and Conservation attend the Inception Workshop for Implementation of “Support to National Flood Forecasting Center and to Improve Hydraulic Design Standards” of Greater Mekong Sub-Region Flood and Drought Risk Management and Mitigation Project, at Himawari hotel, Phnom Penh. This workshop lead and opening by Excellency Poch Sachak, Director General Technical affairs, MOWRAM and Project Director GMS-FDRMMP.
The Objectives of the workshop is to present and discuss the project approach and methodology to clarify uncertainties and to obtain stakeholder comments and feedback. The specific objectives are:
- To present the proposed approach to implementation of the project and to invite comments and suggestions on the prosed methodology.
- To increase awareness of National Flood Forecasting Center component amongst key stakeholder and to share information.
- To engage with stakeholder to identify potential sensitivities and constraints.
- To identify potential synergies and collaboration opportunities with complementary other activities and projects.
